These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ScholarScan, operated by Springboard LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), available at scholarscan.ai. By creating an account or using ScholarScan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

ScholarScan is an AI-powered tool that searches the web to identify scholarships, grants, and other funding opportunities matched to the profile you provide. It also offers application tracking, deadline reminders, and essay outline assistance.
ScholarScan is a discovery and organization tool. We are not affiliated with, and do not represent, any scholarship provider. We do not award scholarships, administer applications, or make funding decisions.
ScholarScan uses artificial intelligence to search the web and generate scholarship recommendations. AI-generated results may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or may include opportunities you do not qualify for. Scholarship details such as award amounts, deadlines, eligibility requirements, and application URLs can change or contain errors.
You must independently verify all scholarship information directly with the official provider before applying or relying on it. Do not submit payments, personal information, or applications based solely on information provided by ScholarScan.
We make no guarantee that you will be matched with any scholarship, that any opportunity shown is currently available, or that you will receive any award. ScholarScan does not increase or assure your chances of winning any scholarship.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to provide truthful profile information, since the quality of your results depends on it. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk. You agree not to share your login credentials or allow others to access your account.
ScholarScan offers a free Explore plan and paid subscription plans (Scholar and Fellow). Plan features and prices are described on our pricing page and may change over time. Paid plans include usage limits as described at the time of purchase.
Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Stripe, using the payment method you provide. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge that payment method on each renewal date until you cancel. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the billing portal. When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew. You will continue to have access to paid features until that period ends.
Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@scholarscan.ai and we will review your request in good faith.

ScholarScan, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is owned by Springboard LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your personal scholarship search.
The profile information and notes you enter remain yours. By using the service, you grant us permission to process that information as needed to operate ScholarScan and generate your results, as described in our Privacy Policy.
ScholarScan is used by high school students, some of whom may be under 18. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the service. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use ScholarScan only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
Parents or guardians may request changes to or deletion of a minor's account by contacting us at hello@scholarscan.ai.
ScholarScan is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Springboard LLC and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of scholarships, funding, opportunities, data, or profits arising from your use of or inability to use ScholarScan, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Springboard LLC and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Oregon.
We may update these Terms as our service evolves. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of ScholarScan after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
